Fairfax Crew appreciates the help of parents. Parents can run for a Board position to help support the direction of the team.

Members are elected annually (June).

Positions commence July 1st and members serve a one year term from July 1st through June 30th of the year.

Members may continue for more than one term.

The board meets on the third Monday of each month at 7pm at Fairfax HS.
Fairfax Crew - Board of Directors
President. The President shall preside at all meetings; serve as chairman of the BOD; appoint all committees and chairpersons other than those who serve by virtue of their office; and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the club. The President shall appoint a representative of the club to the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association (“VASRA”). The President shall appoint a member of the BOD to represent the club at meetings of the crew club, and shall assign duties to at-large members of the board. The President shall have signatory authority on the bank account of the club.
Vice President for Operations. The Vice President for Operations shall be responsible for the equipment owned or leased by the club, for overseeing training activities of competitions. In the President's absence, this officer will conduct meetings, and represent the club to the VASRA; serves as chair of the Maintenance Committee; and oversees the Regatta and Uniforms Committees.
Vice President for Ways and Means. The Vice President for Ways and Means shall be responsible for all fund-raising activities of the club; serves as chair of the Ways and Means Committee; and oversees the Publicity Coordinator.
Secretary. The Secretary shall keep a journal of all proceedings. The Secretary shall be responsible for notifying members of regular and special meeting and shall maintain an accurate roster of the membership of the crew team and the club including addresses and telephone numbers. Learn more
Treasurer. The Treasurer shall be responsible for preparing the budget to be presented to and approved by the BOD; collect any and all monies due to the club; maintain accurate accounts of all receipts and expenditures of the club. The Treasurer shall prepare written monthly reports of the financial condition of the club and any other special reports as requested by the President.
At-Large Members: At-Large Members assist with other duties as needed. For example, Uniform Coordinator.
